Former Muchmusic VJ and Boom radio personality, Kim Clarke Champniss, otherwise known as KCC, has been confirmed to join the upcoming Roxette – Glass Tiger 2012 Canadian Tour kicking off in Ottawa, ON on August 29. Acting as host and DJ, KCC will draw from two decades of retro hits to kick-start each performance and ensure the party continues between sets with 80’s and 90’s favourites.

Who better to complete the fans’ nostalgia trip than the DJ that was present from the very beginning? With 15 years of experience as a VJ on the nation’s most influential music video channel and special assignment reporter for TheNewMusic, KCC currently writes and co-hosts the syndicated radio program “The 80’s show” and is a recognised authority on 80’s music and popculture. KCC’s first ebook “The Republic of Rock ‘n’ Roll” is due out in September, in addition to his compilation disc “KCC’s Awesome Hits” scheduled for release on August 21 and exclusive to Walmart.

Having just completed the outstandingly successful Australian leg of their world tour, Roxette have played to almost a million people globally and are hotter than they’ve been since their early 90’s heyday.  Just in time for the cross-Canada tour, the Exclusive Canadian Tour Edition of “A Collection of Roxette Hits: Their 20 Greatest Songs” will be released on August 21 and will feature the band’s biggest 20 radio hits and fans favourites including “The Look”, “It Must have Been Love”, “Joyride” and more.

As the special guest on the Roxette tour, Glass Tiger have an equally illustrious career that includes sales of over a million records, five JUNO awards, a Grammy nomination and 13 hits singles, including “Don’t Forget Me (When I’m Gone”, “Someday”, “I Will Be There”, “My Song”, and “Diamond Sun”. Following the recent 2 CD Anniversary Edition of the band’s debut album Thin Red Line, on August 21 Glass Tiger will releaseThen…NOW…Next, a new collection of their greatest hits past, present and future.
